GLITTER MAKEUP

Glitter  adds a touch of glamour to any make-up. Glitter cosmetics are any type of makeup products that contain glitter; this can be everything from lipstick to eyeliner to body glitter. Some have large, noticeable pieces of glitter in them, while others just provide a light shimmer. The type of glitter cosmetics that an individual chooses to wear largely depends on the look desired, as well as a person's age. Kids and teens, for example, are big fans of over-the-top glittery cosmetics that provide a lot of sparkle, while older women might only want a little extra shimmer in a bronzer or eyeshadow to make the face look brighter.
Lipsticks and eyeshadows are some of the most popular types of glitter cosmetics. Eyeshadow for teens, or to be worn at special events, might have large pieces of glitter in it, but there are many different types of eyeshadow that just have tiny reflective particles that add a bit of shimmer. These can really make the eyes pop, and look bigger and brighter. Glitter eyeliner can have a similar effect as well. Glittery lip gloss, worn on its own, or over the top of a darker lipstick, can also make the lips look shimmery and bright. Adults typically do not wear glittery lip gloss, but again, there are some more subtle options that add a bit of brightness and shimmer.
Bronzer and blush are other types of glitter cosmetics that often include light reflecting particles to make the face look brighter and more awake. Foundation or concealer are two types of cosmetics that typically do not include glitter. For those looking for a more dramatic look, such as for stage makeup or another type of special event, there is dedicated glitter makeup that can be smoothed over the skin in a similar way to foundation, but this is not a product that would be worn on an everyday basis. This is often referred to as body glitter, and is typically sold in a small jar or tub.

It is important to always remove glitter cosmetics at the end of the day; the makeup can clog the pores if it is left on the skin, or it can cause extreme eye irritation if eyeshadow or eyeliner is not removed and glitter gets in the eyes.

Lips: Beauty Tip: How to Get Super Pouty Lips

Beauty Tips for Perfect Lips
Pouty Lips

Having a hard time trying to achieve sexy super pouty lips? Here are a few steps in order to achieve this look:

What you will need:
1. lip balm
2. foundation/concealer
3. lip pencil
4. lipstick
5. lip gloss.

  • First of all you want a clean canvas much like how you use foundation to achieve an even and clean look on your face as a whole; you want to do the same with your lips. Since most people do their lips last, start with applying a clear lip balm on your lips before applying the rest of your makeup so that your lips will be nice and moist and soft and ready to go once you get to this last step in your routine.  You can use whatever lip balm treatment you would like for this step.

  • Once you are ready to begin you will want to wipe the excess lip balm off your lips so that you can apply your regular foundation/powder. The point of this step is to even out the color and texture of your lips, and create an even base so that your lip color has something to stick to. Again if you don’t want to do this step you don’t have to. Some people find this step unnecessary or too drying on the lip.

  • Using the right lip pencil is crucial at this stage. Even if you are only applying lip gloss defining your lip can save you from the lip gloss or lipstick from bleeding outside of the lines and in the case of lip gloss it can save you from looking like you are drooling. Not a good look on anyone! If you are going for a super clean look you will want to choose a pencil that is a nude or light pink and for a darker look you may want to venture into a purple, dark wine color or brown). Start by lining your top lip first. Use light feathering strokes to outline your lip. Begin with your cupids bow. You don’t need to go outside your natural lip line for this look. Instead of over-emphasizing the cupids bow try to make the lines more of a straight line or slightly curved line rather than a strict ‘V’ shape. This is more flattering on most people. Also at the corners you might want to slightly draw the line inwards to draw more attention to your bottom lip. Next outline your bottom lip. This is where you can over-emphasize your natural lip line, but be careful to only do this in the center of the lip. Don’t forget to line the corners and then fill your lips in entirely.

  • Once you have finished lining your lips you can move onto the lipstick. You can use the tube or a brush for this step. All depends on your comfort level. Using a lip brush is sometimes easier to use when you are manipulating your lip line (e.g. exaggerating your natural lip line or making the lip line look smaller; which we are doing both for this look); but if you are comfortable just using the lipstick itself that is fine as well. You will want to use a darker lipstick than lip gloss, or use a clear lip gloss if you are going for a nude lip, or even a slightly lighter nude or pink gloss. You will want to avoid glittery glosses. Also using a matte finished lipstick works best for this look.

  • Once you have the lipstick applied its time for the gloss. You don’t want to put this all over the lips, just in the center of the lip on both the top and bottom. Just purse your lips together a few times and do the finger trick in order to keep lipstick off your teeth.

  • Last step is to use concealer with a small brush to clean up your lip line ever so lightly which also helps to keep your lips looking fresh and crisp. Do this lastly to define the line more. You can still skip this step if you wish but it really can make a huge difference. You are done! And your pouty lips will surely get noticed!
Relatively simple but can add a polished sexy dramatic look to anyone’s lips and overall style!

LIPSTICKS: How to Apply Lipstick: Tips and Tricks

LIPSTICK

Lipstick is a cosmetic product containing pigments, oils, waxes, and emollients that applies color, texture, and protection to the lips. Many varieties of lipstick exist. As with most other types of makeup, lipstick is typically, but not exclusively, worn by women. The use of lipstick dates back to ancient times.

When it comes to makeup, lipstick is perhaps one of the more crucial elements to looking fabulous.

How to Apply Lipstick

Here you will find the easiest tips and tricks for applying your lipstick in the right way.

Tip #1

Understand which shades, kinds, and brands your lips prefer and would look good in. Consider your skin tone when selecting the right colors
  • Pale-skinned: try light, glossy colors (baby pinks and reds)
  • Moderate-skinned: use muted colors (muted pinks and even browns)
  • Dark-skinned: try using gold browns, cherry reds and even nude pinks.
  • It can vary, however, so find a shade that matches you.

Tip #2

Find a lip liner two shades darker than the lipstick. Lip liner is more important that one might assume because it creates a sort of foundation for the lipstick and can blend well. It also creates the illusion of plumper lips for those with thin ones.

Tip #3

Exfoliate your lips. Try scrubbing gently your lips with a toothbrush, or make a paste using sugar and water. Use the paste as an exfoliant and rub some on your lips for about 20 seconds. Rinse it off and smear Vaseline or lip balm on your lips. Wipe it off after a few minutes.

Tip #4

Outline your lips with the lipliner. If you have thin lips, you can color a little outside of the edge to give the impression of more plump lips.
  • Draw the line from the outside to the center.
  • Lipliner can also be used as a base if wished; add to all of your lips but be careful to keep the outline distinct.

Tip #5

Look in the mirror to make sure that you're filling in the lines correctly. Make one or two swipes of the lipstick across your top and bottom lip. It can be more effective to use a brush to apply; ask your makeup retailer for a lipstick brush and try it.

After you have added the first coat of lipstick, apply a little more if desired. However, remember that less is more when it comes to lipstick, because greasy lips are not only unattractive, but also tend to rub off easily, onto everything.

Tip #6

Blot with the back of your hand or a tissue. Alternatively, suck your finger to blot. Apply gloss if desired. Dab a little in the center. You're finished :)))

GOLDEN TIPS

- Apply foundation on your lips before applying lipstick, its staying power will improve.

- Applying highlighter on the middle of the top of your lips will make your lips look fuller.

- After applying lipstick, take your index finger & pop it in your mouth, then pull it out. The excess lipstick will come off on your finger rather than your teeth. This way you will keep the lipstick off your teeth.

- For 'plump' lips, apply liner just outside your natural lipline.

- You can use lipstick as a blush.

- Store your lipsticks in the fridge. They will definitely last longer.
