Long Wavy Hairstyles: Have Them Naturally

Best How To Get Long Wavy Hairstyles

How to Have Long Wavy Hair:

1. The first step for any hair type is ensure that you are taking care of your hair in order for it to grow long and get that healthy sheen. A proper, balanced diet is essential, along with a good intake of omega-3 fatty acids (think salmon and nuts). Make sure you are conditioning your hair as well (I prefer natural products). You can help improve its sheen by applying homemade ingredients like egg yolks, olive oil or almond oil.

2. Growing your hair long takes patience and still requires regular cuts to trim off dead ends. Stay healthy, and practice the following wave-creating hair tips on hair of any length while you wait for it to grow. If you already have long hair...enjoy it and take care of it.

3.If you have dead straight, fine hair you are probably going to need to break out the curling iron to fake those wavy locks. First, apply some light gel or mousse so your hair will hold the curl. If your hair is thin and fine, don't use too much or it will weigh your hair down.

4. The best way to obtain a natural wave is to hold the barrel vertically while keeping the clamp closed and begin wrapping a section of hair around the outside of the barrel (not clamped inside). You can start at the top by the root or midway down- just be sure to wrap hair all the way to the end.

5. Curl your entire head, section by section. It also helps to pin up your top layer of hair and curl the bottom layer underneath first. This adds more volume to your hair. I like to curl the hair sections that frame my face by wrapping in the direction AWAY from my face. This gives you that somewhat feathered (but not too 70's look). Finish off with a spritz of hair spray.

6.  If your hair takes kindly to a little wave on its own, you may not need a curling iron. One trick I use is to twist damp hair into tight little buns and pin them to my head while the hair dries. Depending on how much hair you have, you may only need one or two buns on each side of your head (I like to do the bangs/face framing layer separately). Once dry, take out the pins and shake the buns loose, scrunching hair lightly, while trying not to destroy the waviness.

7. This twisting hair method works best if you have a little texturizer in your hair before putting it into the buns. Saltwater is an excellent texturizer...I twist my hair after getting out of the ocean and it dries into lovely waves. If you don't live by the beach, you can try mixing sea salt with water and spritzing it onto your hair.

8. Another method for creating waves that some people have luck with is wrapping your damp hair on top of your head into a bun and securing with a scrunchy. Sleep with you hair like this and shake it loose in the morning.

9. If you have lovely, naturally wavy hair, you may try applying some frizz easing products to provide a silky sheen and set your waves. Super curly-haired people may want to try a curl relaxing product to loosen up the curls into tousled waves. Whatever your hair type, try wavy for a day and you will instantly feel more girly, sexy and carefree!
  • Tips & Warnings

  • It is best not to brush your hair after you have created the waves or they will lose their structure.
  • Some people like to substitute the curling iron method with a hair straightener instead.
  • If using the "twisting method", after removing your buns, flip your head upside down and tousle your roots with your finger tips to lift hair and give it some volume.

MY VACATION BEAUTY BAG "MUST-HAVES"

Packing for a trip is always an undertaking.  We agonize over what outfits to bring, how many pairs of shoes to take, and of course what makeup to haul in our makeup bags.  I, like most people, tend to overdo it, and never use half of the products I packed!

When packing skincare and makeup, we feel we need of all the lotions and potions we use on a daily basis, especially the item we might need in an emergency.  We end up bringing everything in our bathroom cabinets, and have much more then we will ever need on our trip.  Going on vacation is all about letting go and relaxing.  This doesn’t mean you have to abandon your beauty regime – just consolidate and simplify.

When going on a vacation you always want to be prepared.  Your skin may have different needs in regard to the stress of travel, hot or cold climate change and different eating habits.  So you want to plan and pack accordingly, and only bring the items you need for your getaway.

Follow these essential travel rules along with few extra tips to insure you will be prepared for anything, your packing will be easy, and your beauty bag will be light:
  • Get a manicure and pedicure a day or two before you go on holiday.  Take the nail color used on your nails and pack it along with a clear top coat and a nail file all together in a plastic baggy for quick touch-ups to ensure your nails will look fabulous for the duration of your trip.
  • Get your eyebrows, bikini line, underarms and legs professionally waxed a week before your vacation. This will ensure smooth, radiant skin without razor burn or irritations, and no need for a razor or refills.  No fuss and no worries about shaving while you’re gone.
  • Pack a high SPF cream for the face and body, along with an after sun lotion that will double as a body lotion.  Protecting your skin from the sun’s rays is a key factor to beautiful skin and your health in general.
  • Buy travel size containers for shampoo, conditioner, and your favorite hair care products they will take up less room in your bag, and are easy to refill for your next vacation.
  • A mini cleanser, toner, and moisturizer with SPF 15 and eye cream are the ideal size for a vacation.  A complete skincare.
  • A Light weight with buildable coverage foundation is perfect. Or if light coverage is fine for you a BB cream with SPF is perfect to wear during the day.
  • A nude color lipstick and/lipgloss is a great universal color and is beautiful on everyone.
  • Take your favourite neutral color shadow quad.
  • Easily applied eyeliner adds great definition to your eyes.
  • A waterproof mascara will last all day long in any climate.
  • A translucent powder  to set your foundation and is great for touch ups throughout the day.

Now your beauty bag is complete with only the must-haves you need to look and feel great on your next vacation!

Lips: Beauty Tip: How to Get Super Pouty Lips

Beauty Tips for Perfect Lips
Pouty Lips

Having a hard time trying to achieve sexy super pouty lips? Here are a few steps in order to achieve this look:

What you will need:
1. lip balm
2. foundation/concealer
3. lip pencil
4. lipstick
5. lip gloss.

  • First of all you want a clean canvas much like how you use foundation to achieve an even and clean look on your face as a whole; you want to do the same with your lips. Since most people do their lips last, start with applying a clear lip balm on your lips before applying the rest of your makeup so that your lips will be nice and moist and soft and ready to go once you get to this last step in your routine.  You can use whatever lip balm treatment you would like for this step.

  • Once you are ready to begin you will want to wipe the excess lip balm off your lips so that you can apply your regular foundation/powder. The point of this step is to even out the color and texture of your lips, and create an even base so that your lip color has something to stick to. Again if you don’t want to do this step you don’t have to. Some people find this step unnecessary or too drying on the lip.

  • Using the right lip pencil is crucial at this stage. Even if you are only applying lip gloss defining your lip can save you from the lip gloss or lipstick from bleeding outside of the lines and in the case of lip gloss it can save you from looking like you are drooling. Not a good look on anyone! If you are going for a super clean look you will want to choose a pencil that is a nude or light pink and for a darker look you may want to venture into a purple, dark wine color or brown). Start by lining your top lip first. Use light feathering strokes to outline your lip. Begin with your cupids bow. You don’t need to go outside your natural lip line for this look. Instead of over-emphasizing the cupids bow try to make the lines more of a straight line or slightly curved line rather than a strict ‘V’ shape. This is more flattering on most people. Also at the corners you might want to slightly draw the line inwards to draw more attention to your bottom lip. Next outline your bottom lip. This is where you can over-emphasize your natural lip line, but be careful to only do this in the center of the lip. Don’t forget to line the corners and then fill your lips in entirely.

  • Once you have finished lining your lips you can move onto the lipstick. You can use the tube or a brush for this step. All depends on your comfort level. Using a lip brush is sometimes easier to use when you are manipulating your lip line (e.g. exaggerating your natural lip line or making the lip line look smaller; which we are doing both for this look); but if you are comfortable just using the lipstick itself that is fine as well. You will want to use a darker lipstick than lip gloss, or use a clear lip gloss if you are going for a nude lip, or even a slightly lighter nude or pink gloss. You will want to avoid glittery glosses. Also using a matte finished lipstick works best for this look.

  • Once you have the lipstick applied its time for the gloss. You don’t want to put this all over the lips, just in the center of the lip on both the top and bottom. Just purse your lips together a few times and do the finger trick in order to keep lipstick off your teeth.

  • Last step is to use concealer with a small brush to clean up your lip line ever so lightly which also helps to keep your lips looking fresh and crisp. Do this lastly to define the line more. You can still skip this step if you wish but it really can make a huge difference. You are done! And your pouty lips will surely get noticed!
Relatively simple but can add a polished sexy dramatic look to anyone’s lips and overall style!

How to be Feminine

A Feminine Woman, For Sure

The modern man and woman must re-learn courtship strategies that have been core to our species since we walked upright on two legs. The industrial revolution, equal rights movement of the 60′s, and outrageous advances in technology have interfered dramatically with our ability to connect and commit in meaningful ways. Our culture changes at internet speeds now. We have blown everything up and now we’re totally lost and confused. We have to recreate everything in a whole new way.

In today's world, women, in order to look firm, independent and strong, they cut themselves off from their femininity, intuition, and natural power. However, anything a woman can do to ground herself and connect with her own body will make her more attractive and empowered to make good decisions for herself.

Most of us have mistaken "feminine" as referring only to the external appearance of a woman. Before all, we should describe "femininity" first.

What is femininity?

Femininity is a gentle, tender quality that is apparent in a woman’s appearance, manner, actions and nature. In simple terms, femininity is a set of attributes, behaviors and roles generally associated with girls and women. Femininity is made up of both socially defined and biologically created factors.

We can summarize it in:

Manners: Gentleness, empathy, softness, sensitivity, caring, vulnerability, sweetness, tenderness, compassion, tolerance, nurturance, deference are behaviors generally considered feminine.

Look: The ideal of feminine appearance has traditionally included long, flowing hair, light skin, a narrow waist, and little or no body hair or facial hair. In other cultures, however, these standards may vary.

Clothing:Red lipstick, high heels, dresses showing off her feminine curves are considered feminine.

Feminine women are soft, dependent, delicate, submissive, trusting, and childlike among other things. The best way to describe femininity is by the lack of masculine ability and traits - there is an absence of male aggressiveness, competency, efficiency, fearlessness, strength, and the ability to “kill your own snakes”.

Men love femininity since it is such a great contrast to their masculinity. A feminine woman makes a man feel more masculine - and this feeling is one of his most pleasurable experiences.

Femininity and "tender, romantic feelings in a man" go hand-in-hand. When femininity goes, so do the tender feelings. He may still love you, continue to respect you, and appreciate what you do, but you will not awaken his more tender, cherishing side.

The truly feminine woman is naturally inclined toward all aspects of womanhood. She is proud to be a woman, delighted to have a function different than a man’s, happy to be a mother, satisfied with her career in the home and does not seek fulfillment in the man’s world.

Areas of focus are both outward and inward. Outer femininity zeroes in on the appearance, manner of dress and the way you move and act, while inner femininity covers your nature and attitude toward your feminine role.

Femininity is the direct opposite to masculinity, and it is acquired by accentuating these differences. If you are pondering a feminine response to something, study a man and do the opposite! You won’t be far off the mark since there are very few similarities.

Accentuate the Differences

When thinking of your appearance the rule is to accentuate the differences between yourself and men in the following ways:
  • Materials - Think of those materials that are most feminine in their color, feel, weight, and effect. Men don’t wear fluffy, lacey, or filmy fabrics, but tend to put on heavier fabrics like tweeds, suit fabrics, herringbone, and denim. Avoid these especially if they are tailored or cut in a man’s style. Use them only if they are made in a feminine manner or color. Instead choose your clothing from fabrics like crisp cottons, fine woolens, linens, silks, satins, lace, and finer weaves. Angora, satin, velvet, and organdie are extremely feminine. Don’t think these things are old-fashioned, they are wonderful if made in today’s fashions. An angora sweater or a silky nightgown is delightful for a man to touch.
  • Color - Feminine colors are soft, light, pastel, clear and rich. Even black can be a very feminine color when used of right fabrics. Avoid drab colors like browns, grays and khaki. These can be used if they are of a feminine fabric, cut or style.
  • Design - Many prints are very masculine in look and should be avoided. Also stay away from loud, gaudy designs or those lacking in good taste. The print should accentuate and draw attention to the woman, not to itself. They should see you first, not your clothes.
  • Style - I am sure you have all seen the business-suit look for women. It is anything but feminine. Make sure the cut and style of your clothes is not mannish suits, shirts, cuffs, or ties. Instead, wear full skirts, ruffles, puffs, gathers and drapes. Wear clothes that accentuate your figure while still being modest. Pants are always in the forefront of the discussion on a feminine woman’s style of dress. Pants are not the most feminine thing to wear. If you do wear them, make sure the style, color and cut are feminine and attractive. I would also suggest you get a picture of yourself from front and back to see how you really look in pants. If you wear them, make sure the rest of your outfit is feminine.
  • Trim - You can soften the masculine effect of clothes by the smart use of trims and embellishments. Add feminine touches like a bit of lace, satin, pearls, beads, belts, etc.
  • Accessories - Use purses that are feminine and in good taste. Avoid the briefcase look. Shoes and jewelry are great areas to add a feminine touches.
  • Grooming - Keep yourself clean and smelling pretty. Pay attention to the state of your clothes. Iron them if needed and keep them in good repair. Keep your hairstyle attractive and in a feminine cut.
  • Makeup - If you use makeup, learn how to apply it skillfully. It should be used to accentuate your natural features, not overwhelm your audience. If you do not know how to apply it, or don’t know the colors to use, many stores give free makeovers. Get one done and don’t be afraid to ask questions.
  • Modesty - Men do not respect women who wear low-cut blouses, scanty clothes, and lingerie in public. The ideal is too look attractive but not attracting.

GOLDEN TIP

Femininity comes from the inside out; it’s not something that you “put on” in order to give an appearance. The time that a woman is truly feminine is when she’s being totally authentic.

A woman is feminine when she is aware of her genderly beauties and her power the Nature gave her. Plus, when she knows how to get dressed and behave! Definitely classy!!!

High Heels: PUMPS and STILETTOS

HIGH HEELS

The high-heeled shoe embodies leisure, sophistication and sexuality. Throughout history shoe fashions have defined its wearers by gender, race, and social class. Murals have depicted upper class men and women wearing heels around 3500 B.C. in Egypt, while lower class citizens went barefoot. There were also several useful reasons for heels: Egyptian butchers would wear heels to avoid the blood of dead animals, while actors in ancient Greece and Rome would wear sandals with heels of different lengths to illustrate social class and importance of characters they portrayed. During the Middle Ages, both men and women would wear wooden soles that are considered to be the predecessor of today’s heels, and were attached to expensive shoes to keep them clean. For women specifically, the Chopine became a popular style to indicate wealth. The Chopine was a tall platform-type shoe that usually was so high that it required 2 servants. The term “high-heeled” meant that someone had lavish wealth. High-heeled shoes actually dropped in popularity through the 17th and 18th century for both men and women because high heels became associated with wealth and aristocracy. During the 1800s the high heel resurfaced, but this time the heel was a fashion statement just for women. Today it still appears to be a symbol of social class and wealth.

Today, in hectic cities, you will need to take lots of cabs if you plan on wearing heels all day. It is impossible to walk in those suckers for very long. To get a flavor of being part of a higher social class, you will see many office women carry their heels in a bag while they wear their sports shoes on the subway. Then at work, they quickly change into their lovely heels.

Why Women Prefer High Heels

- Heels make us taller (anywhere from 5' 6" to 5' 9").

- Heels make our legs look longer and a bit slimmer.

- Heels can add a more sophisticated look to any outfit; so we prefer to wear them  in evenings.

- At work, heels portray confidence and poise. They make us feel empowered when we wear them.

- Heels force our back to arch, pushing the breasts forward and buttocks back. Thus accentuates our figure.

- When you walk with high heels, it makes your buttocks move more. This is something sexy.

- It appears to be a symbol of social class and wealth. Most women desire that upward mobility.

High Heeled Sandals

High-heels force the body to walk differently and use muscles differently. High heels lead the wearer to tilt their center of gravity, which emphasizes a woman’s assets and highlights her sexuality. Heels also emphasize feet, which are often sexualized and part of erotic displays. Even though I believe heels are worn largely as social-status indicators, verbalized reasons for wearing high heels include accentuated calves, being taller, longer legs, and a more seductive gait.

What is a Stiletto Shoe?

A stiletto heel is a long, thin, high heel found on some boots and shoes, usually for women. It is named after the stiletto dagger, the phrase being first recorded in the early 1930s. Stiletto heels may vary in length from 2.5 centimetres (1 inch) to 25 cm (10 inches) or more if a platform sole is used, and are sometimes defined as having a diameter at the ground of less than 1 cm (slightly less than half an inch).

What is a Pump?

Pump is a widely-accepted generic word for any high-heeled shoe. Pumps are lower heeled than stiletto shoes. They come in various heel sizes but none of them are very high or very narrow. In their most basic form, pumps have closed backs, and low-cut fronts that hit closer to the toes than they do the top of the foot. Mostly the heel tips are wider and so are the heels. Most pumps have round cut toes or peep-toes. Pumps have a formal appearance when worn in combination with a tuxedo or suit. They can be casual when accessorized with skirts or jeans. Nevertheless, the comfort factor rides high in case of pumps when compared to stilettos.

What is the difference between stilettos and pumps?

A stiletto has a higher, thinner, pointier heel, while a pump has a shorter and thicker heel.

How does it feel wearing high heels?

High heels are a part of most women's lives, but they often cause pain. The feeling of wearing high heels is different depending on how high they are, and how thick the heel is. If they're really high with no platform, it's painful. If they're high with a little bit of a platform, they don't feel too different from normal shoes, apart from the fact that you're taller than normally.

The thicker the heel though, the easier it is to keep your balance and not be wobbling around when walking.

Apart from the comfort or the pain,  wearing high heels make you feel great about yourself. It makes your whole body look thinner and we like it :) Heels hurt after a while but you get used to it, and you get things to put in shoes so they don't hurt as much. As long as you pick the the right shoes, it feels sexy!!!

Why do men find high-heels attractive?,

High heels make the legs look longer and make the calf and ankle take on a more feminine appearance and draws more attention.

Men love high heels on a woman because it gives the illusion of having fertile-looking legs. High heels enhance a woman's sexual shape by lengthening her legs, arching her back, forcing her buttocks to protrude, making her feet appear smaller and thrusting her pelvis forward. This is why the shoe with the highest heel — the stiletto - with its bondage straps, is by far the most efficient sex aide on the market.

MY POINT

It is always your choice to wear heels or not. There are many social benefits to wearing high heels, such as indicating a higher social standing (by increasing your helplessness), and heightened attention to your sexuality. The many physical costs include back problems, knee joint degeneration, and foot deformity and pain. Research has shown that practicing moderation can make a big difference. Wearing heels just a few times a week – instead of every day – can significantly decrease the chances of developing some of the physical consequences. Many stars will attend photo shoots and premieres in high heels, but definitely are smart enough not to wear them every day. Heels are just a status symbol, but don’t necessarily need to be part of your daily look.

How to Keep a Relationship Fresh

Keeping the spark in a long-term relationship is not easy. But, there are ways to nurture eachother and keep the home's fire burning.
Not everyone is looking for a long-term relationship, but most people who are in committed relationships are interested in keeping love alive for the duration. If everyone could afford regular romantic getaways, it might be easier. And if our time, money and energy weren't already dedicated to carrying out our busy lives, we might have more of it for planning romantic evenings, giving thoughtful gifts and maintaining a robust sex life.

Here are five positive ways to nurture these aspects of your relationship and keep the home fires burning.

1.Grooming and Hygiene

Remember at the beginning of your relationship when you always looked your best for each other, when not even a nose hair was out of place? As time passes, it's hard to maintain the same attention to appearance as we did in the beginning, what with the baby spit-up, weekly housecleaning and gardening chores, and lazy Sundays. If your relationship has lost a little of its fizzle, take a good hard look at yourself in the mirror. Paying just a little extra attention to grooming and hygiene can make the idea of spontaneous sex a lot more appealing.
Men, have you shaved recently or trimmed your facial hair (and removed food crumbs)? Trimmed your fingernails and toenails? Ladies, are you so comfortable in your favorite T-shirt-slash-nightgown that your lingerie has been forgotten in the back of the closet? Finally, everyone, have you bathed recently?
Don't forget about the importance of your surroundings. Groom your environment for romance with a little creative and cheap home redecorating. Dim the lighting or turn it off altogether and light some candles. Dress up the bed with extra pillows and soft, luxurious sheets to roll around in together. Try aromatherapy: Jasmine, ylang ylang and vanilla are scents that have been used for hundreds of years to arouse the senses and inspire sexy thoughts.

2. Maintain Outside Relationships

A couple's relationship can be both complicated and enhanced by outside relationships. Not all outside relationships will fit well into a couple's life together. Some of them, like those with mothers-in-law, can't exactly be avoided, but others can, and they should be kept separate from the couple's relationship. These friendships can enhance the couple's time together by giving each person time and space to nurture and develop interests that the partner doesn't necessarily share. A lunch date with a coworker is a much better outlet for discussing a work project than dinner at home. And sometimes it's really nice to be able to enjoy an inside joke without having to explain it to your significant other.
At the same time, it's healthy for couples to have friends they hang out with together. These friendships provide a way for a couple to be social together and explore common interests. They can also be a source of positive feedback for the relationship.
In the big picture, good relationships with family and friends, both singly and as a couple, can enhance the relationship and keep it lively and vital.

3. Learn to Argue Well
